Kisspeptin-10

Price range: $48.00 through $68.00

Kisspeptin-10 is a master regulator of reproductive function and fertility, acting as a potent stimulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Research demonstrates it rapidly increases LH and sex hormone release through KISS1R receptor activation on GnRH neurons.

Overview

Kisspeptin-10 is a potent neuroendocrine peptide representing the minimal active fragment of the KISS1 gene product. Research demonstrates it serves as the master regulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. Despite being the smallest bioactive kisspeptin fragment, studies show it retains full biological activity comparable to kisspeptin-54, binding KISS1R with high affinity (Ki = 0.042 nM).

This product is strictly for research purposes only. Not approved for human or animal use.

How It Works

Primary Mechanisms

KISS1R Receptor Activation

Binds KISS1R on hypothalamic GnRH neurons, initiating G protein-coupled signaling cascades.

Gq/11 Signaling Cascade

Activates phospholipase C, generating second messengers that trigger calcium release and PKC activation.

Secondary Actions

Gonadotropin Release

Produces rapid, dose-dependent LH increases with subsequent sex hormone elevation.

Metabolic & Neuroprotective Actions

Potentiates glucose-stimulated insulin secretion; protects blood-brain barrier integrity.

Research Findings

Reproductive Hormone Regulation

Intravenous kisspeptin-10 produces rapid, dose-dependent LH elevation in healthy men
Intranasal kisspeptin-54 stimulates gonadotropin release without adverse events (Mills et al., 2025)

Sexual Function

In men with HSDD, kisspeptin increased penile tumescence by 56% vs placebo (Mills et al., 2023)
In women with HSDD, increased ratings of “feeling sexy” (P=0.04)

Metabolic Effects

Enhances insulin secretion in response to glucose loading
Kiss1r knockout mice display higher body weight and impaired glucose tolerance (Tolson et al., 2014)

Neuroprotection

In stroke models, reduced infarct volume and BBB permeability (Li et al., 2025)
Exhibits antioxidant effects via Nrf2 pathway activation

Cancer Research

Reduced cell viability and migration in triple-negative breast cancer cells
Low kisspeptin correlates with aggressive endometrial cancer stages (Wu et al., 2024)

Fertility Research

Kisspeptin-54 achieved oocyte fertilization in 93.7% of IVF patients and embryo transfer in 91.4%
May reduce ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome risk vs hCG

Potential Side Effects in Research

In randomized trials, kisspeptin was well tolerated with no serious adverse events. Most common effects include mild injection site reactions and transient facial flushing. Extensive monitoring shows no significant effects on blood pressure or heart rate. A 2024 systematic review of 29 trials concluded kisspeptin has considerably fewer side effects due to simulating normal physiological processes.
